Blog Transitions & Maintenance

Hello all,

Wow. So... I have kind of been a little absent the last week. Unfortunately, I will be M.I.A for a little while longer. With the holidays quickly upon us and the new year approaching, I am spending this down time to re-vamp my blog and focus on my material. I want to give you all the best quality of my work and right now, I just cannot give it my all. It's my own fault, lack of balance this week and last but hey, that's the holidays, for ya...right? I have been feeling incredibly guilty because I have this inner fear that I am letting you all down by not being around. However, when I really reflect on my current post, I'm not so happy. There are a lot of things I want to change about my blog--mainly that it's a little more user friendly. So I'm going to take a break to make this blog GREAT.

I want to hear your feedback. What could I offer you that I may not have considered? What do you want to read? I also want to know what is working for you all. I have such a strong passion for health and fitness and I really want to spread that message. And more than anything, I want to encourage you all to be your best self and follow me in my journey to do the same.

I hope you all understand and bear with me for a while through this transition--it's for the best, I promise.  : ) So for now, continue to follow me on my facebook pageinstagram or twitter to stay connected. I will continue to post #MightyProud photos on these social media sites so I hope you all stay inspired and join me!

Here are a few photos from my phone from the weekend

Outfit ready to roll! Portland Holiday Half!

Before the race, trying to stay warm.

Snow machine and photo op

This race sold out. Was really jam-packed with participants the first mile but then began to weed out a bit.

I finished a little slower than planned (unfortunately my slowest half to date) but was really hurting the last 3 miles (hip pain). It was a physical struggle but mentally, I rocked it. Fueling went really well. **Thank you Island Boost!!** Another half down, lessons learned, things to work on and notes taken on what went well this time around. Focusing more on the gains than the struggles, I will take a slower time. (Thank you to my awesome cheer squad: husband, pooch and my bestest running-partner-in-crime, Miss Sarah! It meant the world to have you there to support me!)

Just threw this in because I thought it was hilarious. People think runners are nuts for running in freezing temps and snow. We love running, we're crazy...we know. : )

Yes, heaven is what this is.
I took Monday off for a "mental health day" and thoroughly enjoyed a full body massage. I could have gone for a longer one though. I had a TON of aches and pains after this race (stupid hip!)

Indulging in a hot latte and christmas nails while finishing my Christmas shopping!!!

So now I want to hear from you, what is working for you on this blog?
What would you like to see more of??
I want to hear from YOU.

How was YOUR weekend?

  1. I'm sorry you were having pain in your hip for the race! It is so hard to still push through and finish but I'm proud of you for doing it! I wish I was having a hot coffee and finishing my Christmas shopping right now!
